China Glaze Magnetix Nail Polish Swatches

Sorry guys, I posted this post on Luuux last night but while it was uploading, I totally KO on my chair, lol. How pathetic of me! I woke up a couple hours later when I felt like my neck was gonna snap as my head just hangs there.

I don't know how some nail bloggers managed to make magnetic polishes look so dang good but I was a total fail at it. Perhaps there is a special trick on how to work with it but I haven't figured it out. First of all, excuse my ring finger, it cracked and I tried my best to mend it.

I found these China Glaze Magnetix a couple weeks ago on clearance at Sally Beauty Supply. My initial thought when I used them is that the formula is runny and on the sheer side. Application was a bit uneven. I also used the China Glaze magnet on these swatches. The magnet works fairly well in my opinion, however; I had difficulty getting the color to look even when using the stripped design. I personally much prefer the star design.
So my biggest disappointement is the unevenless of the color and the lines of the stripes. Then again, perhaps it's my fault, I dont' know. Nonetheless, the use of this product takes a bit of work, practice, and patience in order to achieve good results. I don't think I will repurchase anymore magnetic polishes. The concept and design is cool but not enough to really excite me. I have one coat on each swatches.

You Move Me is a medium shimmery brown with warm undertone.

Cling On is a murky shimmery olive green.

Do you have any tips on how to use magetic polishes? Do you have a favorite brand or color?
