Holiday Makeup Look - Smoky Green and Gold

I apologize for the lack of makeup looks and I realize I was way overdue for one. I've been busy with work, gym, and shopping, lol, thus why so many hauls lately. So many deals going, so many coupons to use, O-M-G I am overwhelmed and the sad thing is I can't even find the time to play with my new beauty products.

Since the holidays are coming up, I decided to do a holiday inspired look.

Face
  • Physicians Formula Cashmere Wear Bronzer. I normally just apply it to my jawline but you could also apply it to your temples.
  • MAC Prim & Proper powder blush.
Eyes
  • Almay Brow Defining pencil to fill and define my brows.
  • Urban Decay Primer Potion Original.
  • MAC Dark Envy Fluidline. I apply this gel liner all over my lid as a colored base. Fluidlines are so versatile. They are also easy to blend, you could use them as eyeshadows if you wanted to.
  • Revlon Matte eyeshadow Tempting Teal. I applied this color on top of Dark Envy and blend around the edges to soften the look.
  • ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Golden. I used a couple drops of eye drops as mixing medium and mixed Golden with it. I used the foiled method for this look and applied the color to the center of my lid and sweep my brush sideways to each corner of my eyes.
  • Wet N Wild Greed. I used the dark eyeshadow to define the outer V.
  • Wet N Wild Comfort Zone. I used the top right color to highlight my brow bone.
  • Physicians Formula Eye Booster Eyeliner Ultra Black to line my upper lash line.
  • MAC Undercurrent to line my lower lash line. After I lined my eyes with Undercurrent, I applied Tempting Teal over it and smudge it.
  • Milani Liquif' Eye Black. I used this for tight lining and the waterline.
  • Love & Beauty False lashes. For someone who isn't blessed with long lush lashes, I have to use false lashes in order to complete this dramatic look. Even if you have long lashes, false lashes always add more oomph to any makeup look.
Lips
  • Femme Couture Ultra Shine Lip duos Caramel Kisses. I tried to keep the lip color soft. Since this gloss has warm undertone and a bit of gold shimmers, I think it goes well with the rest of the makeup. This lipgloss can be purchased at Sally Beauty Supply. I got it from the clearance rack for a couple bucks and it's pretty good!

What do you think of this look? Is it appropriate to wear for the holiday or would you rather wear something more toned down?

  1. Like always, this look from you is stunning! I'd love to try this, but don't think I could pull it off as well as you did. I think the holidays are all about playing up the eyes with big, bright colors, but of course, it's a personal preference whether one wants to tone down or not. As for this look, it's definitely holiday appropriate!
